“Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati is on the 11th position in Romania and on the 2153th position in the world according to the Ranking Web of Universities, a top that analyzes over 20,000 universities worldwide.

Over 100 higher education institutions from Romania were analyzed and the criteria that were taken into consideration were the impact from the online environment (the total number of external links that the university web domain receives from third parties), the online presence (position in search engines and global visibility on the internet), openness (total number of documents published on dedicated sites, according to Google) and excellence (quality of scientific articles published in high impact international journals, in the top 10% most cited in a particular area).

“Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati obtained high scores based on the relevance of the research, the quality of the published content and the visibility in the online environment.

Webometrics is a top created by Cybermetrics Lab, a research group within the Spanish Higher Council for Scientific Research, starting in 2004. The ranking within this top is based on publicly available web data and the results are made public in January and July, every year.
